Sports

Funtastic Kids works in association with a local, family run business, First For Sports.

IMG_0013 (2)First for Sports deliver the sports timetables, which run at our camps all day, every day. Children can opt in and out of either timetable throughout the day, giving each individual child the opportunity to try a range of different activities.
Gareth Edwards and Alan Edwards, brothers, recognised that the marketplace for sports coaching was saturated by companies and organisations that were constantly over promising and under delivering when it came to professionalism, relationship management and quality of coaching staff.

First For Sports philosophy is to instil life skills into the children via the professional delivery of sports and games with a large emphasis on behaviour management, attitudes, teamwork, respect, confidence and most importantly fun. It is proven that if children develop confidence on the sports field this readily transfers into the classroom and their on-going academic success. Each session is run to enhance children’s abilities and knowledge in a wide range of sports.

The Sports Timetable includes:

Athletics, Basketball, Hockey, Cricket, Football, Rounders, Gym, Tennis, Circuits, Dodgeball and much more with all sessions ending in fun games and mini matches. All sessions are designed to improve children’s overall skills, coordination, balance, spacial awareness, teamwork and understanding of a number of sports whilst having fun and keeping fit at the same time.IMG_0108

First for Sport coaches are licensed and fully qualified, CRB/DBS checked and attend frequent coach training days to ensure that all children receive top quality coaching. All sessions are designed to be fun as well as educational. Coaches are First Aid Trained and have attended Safeguarding child protection training.

First For Sports work closely with the directors of Funtastic Kids to forge, develop and continue a long term working relationship with the company in order to deliver a quality childcare provision during the school holidays.
