Our Breakfast & After School Clubs at The Hawthorns Primary School opened in April 2026!
Breakfast Club:
This will now be held in the main building in the dining room. This will help parents to have a quicker drop off in the morning. Please bring your children to the Year 4 entrance door. Please ring the bell or call the number to alert staff and we will greet you at the door. Food and resources will be in the dining room for the children to continue enjoying their breakfast club experience.
After School Club:
All children will be in the dining hall for the snack to avoid the home time transition from the main school through the playground to the log cabin.
Children will then be given the option for outdoor play or free play/arts/crafts in the log cabin.
At 4.20pm the 4.30pm leavers will gather their things from the dining hall and collection will be from the Year 4 door.
Tea will be served for the remaining children in the dining hall around 4.45pm-5.15pm. Collection during this time will be from the Year 4 door.
After this time, children will have the option of returning to the log cabin to play and relax so please call the number so we can bring your child to you at the Year 4 door. A member of staff will likely be in the dining hall during this time so will radio across.
There is no parking in the school car park.
The clubs are open to all children who attend The Hawthorns Primary School.

We strive to ensure that every child settles well and enjoys their time in our care.
If your child is in the Early Years or may be feeling anxious about joining us, please download and complete an ‘All About Me Early Years’ form and provide any information that might help us to better understand your child.
Completed forms can be emailed to us at office@funtastickids.co.uk, handed to our staff at Breakfast Club, or you can ask your child’s teacher to pass it on to us ahead of After School Club.
Alternatively, you can email us to request a phone call with a member of our team to discuss your child in more detail.
It may be helpful to let the teachers know if your child is attending After School Club when you drop off too.
We also have experience in supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) at our clubs and holiday camps. We ask you to contact our office for advice prior to making a booking by emailing: office@funtastickids.co.uk or by calling 07715643412. We also ask you specific questions regarding supporting your child’s needs when registering with us. We then share this information with all supervisors who work with your child at any location.
Our director, Louise Holloway, has experience as an inclusion manager for over 20 years and our management team can support parents and staff to ensure that the child receives the best care we can provide during their time with us.
Please note that we are a mainstream childcare provider and are unable to offer individual support (1:1 support) during the camp day or club session. If your child has a 1:1 at school, attends an educational SEND setting or attends a school SEND unit, and you feel they would be happy and safe at our camps without 1:1 support, you must contact us at least 2 weeks before they start so that our team can ensure the child’s needs are met by putting in place a support plan. However, should you receive funding and wish to pay for a 1:1 to support your child at our camps or clubs, please contact our office, giving a minimum of 4 weeks notice of your request before your child attends. We cannot always guarantee additional appropriate staff even with sufficient notice. We always consider the safety of all our children when considering including a child who may become dysregulated and experience difficulties within our setting and we need to consider the potential impact on staff-to-child ratios.
